Dr Ayana Crichlow is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon currently practicing in Bridgetown, Barbados.
Her undergraduate medical degree was completed at the UWI Cave Hill campus in Barbados. Her orthopaedic postgraduate degree was studied at the UWI Mona campus in Jamaica.
She then subspecialised and did her fellowship training in hand and microsurgery in India (June-December 2014) and the US (July 2015-June 2016).
Dr Crichlow's orthopaedic practice encompasses adult and paediatric musculoskeletal conditions, with a special interest in upper extremity (hand-to-shoulder) injuries.
She is only one of four trained hand surgeons in the English-speaking
Caribbean. Her main aim is to improve the delivery of care for upper extremity.
