Established in Trinidad by Dr Anthony Sabga in 1945, Standard is celebrating over 75 years as the leading company for furniture, home appliances and electronics.
Expanding its business, Standard Distributors travelled to Barbados and began operations in September 1959 as a partnership with Da Costa Limited, a subsidiary of Barbados Shipping & Trading Company Limited. In 1967, the ANSA Group acquired the 50% owned by BS&T and assumed full management of the company.
Currently, Standard Distributors Limited, with its 11 strategic locations in Trinidad & Tobago and one in Barbados, continues to uphold its reputation of 'never being beaten on quality'. Our team have placed our sole focus on one major factor, our customers! Whilst quality is something which our products have become associated with, for us it doesn't stop there.
