Jamaica Microfilm Inc. Co. Ltd. [JMI] was established in 1981 to provide document management and other software services as well as equipment to companies and institutions. We are presently located at 11 Carvalho Drive having removed recently from shop 42 New Kingston Shopping Centre. We are the Authorized Dealer in Jamaica for several companies some of which are as follows: Canon Imaging, DeLaRue Cash Systems, Automated Business Machines, Kofax, Ideal/Destroyit Document Shredders, Widmer Time Company. JMI has since leveraged its presence in the Financial Institutions by offering a range of financial products. The main products offered are, Micro graphics Systems, Digital Imaging, Cheque Processing, Currency Counters and Eletronic Surveillance systems and Digital Copiers.
In the area of service JMI operates the leading Imaging and Microfilm Service Bureau along with a Technical Service Department. The company has three main Departments- Marketing and Sales, Technical Service and the Service Bureau.
JMI by all accounts is considered the leading provider of micro graphics equipment and services in Jamaica. The twenty-year reputation, coupled with an excellent production facility and modern equipment has allowed it to maintain a high level of quality. The micrographics industry is currently undergoing a major technology shift from microfilm to digital imaging which facilitates several new applications using a simple point and click interface.
The programs are mostly Windows based allowing the ultimate in ease of use for application set-ups. Product Lines - The products we offer are mainly geared towards the financial sector where we offer Cash Processing Systems, Currency Counters, Check Writers, Validators, Protectographs, UV Lamps, Shredders, Document Management Systems, Image Filing Systems, Digital Copiers and Surveillance Systems. The list is comprehensive but by no means complete as other products are also offered.
Over the years, JMI has been providing the most up-to-date, state of the art equipment in document management and money handling systems. Our staff includes technicians and support personnel who work with our customers on a one and one basis due to the fact that our products are targeted to small medium and large companies.
