Little Thinkers Daycare and Kindergarten started operation in August, 2000, by the creative mind of Ms. Shereen Jacks offering nursery, preschool and aftercare in Spanish Town
, St Catherine.
The school started with only two (2) babies in the Nursery and two (2) staff members. It then grew to ten (10) students in the following term, and that was the official start of the blessing that God had for the community of Eltham Acres.
The goal of this institution is to bring about transformative learning that will inspire and empower students to become functional beings in society. With God at the head the school is able to accomplish this and more, especially in enhancing the spiritual development of our children.
Some of the services offered include but limited to:
Extra Lessons (including Saturdays) for children (ages 8-12)
Guided and driven by these principles we were lead to open our second Daycare and Kindergarten on Beechwood Ave, in Kingston, on the property of the Jamaica Observer.
The leadership of the school is extremely passionate about helping our students strive towards high standards.
Ultimately, our children will be: empowered to take responsibility for their actions, inspired with courage to grow spiritually and intellectually, cultivated with curiosity, provided with opportunities to develop relationships and most importantly to determine right from wrong.

In the year 1923 during the General Assembly of the Church of God, in Cleveland Tennessee, USA, George F Walter was appointed as missionary to Jamaica
although information regarding the arrival of Walter is unclear, he was the first missionary officially appointed to Jamaica by the church. Notwithstanding the uncertainty of Walter’s arrival in 1923, the work of the church was already operating in the Island prior to arrival of J.L. Kinder in 1931.This is evidenced in the fact that R.C. Smith was converted during an evangelist service in Kingston where Mrs. Nina Stapleton, a missionary from the Church of God over which A/J. Tomlinson was the overseer, was the preacher. Shortly after his conversion in 1921, at the age of 18, Smith began to answer the call of God to preach the message of salvation in a remote area of Clarendon, called Main Ridge.
The Jamaican church is strong, and has produced many stalwarts who have served in the highest echelon of the church, locally, in the Caribbean and Internationally.
The Church of God of Prophecy, Jamaica is marching forward in Prayer, Leadership Development, the Harvest and Stewardship, only by the grace of God and all for His glory. Read more......Read less
Ananda Marga Kinder-Prep School was started in August 1979 as a Kindergarten at 5 Fairway Avenue with 4 children. The school enjoyed moderate growth at its site of birth until
1988 when a new location at 12 Cerieffe Road was founded and the new pledge and dedication were put in place to establish a stronger kindergarten to meet the new challenges of this era. Ananda Marga literally means “The Path of Bliss”- the way that leads both the individual and society onto its highest goal.
Education for all
Ananda Marga believes that education is one of the five basic necessities in life. Therefore, all individuals should be given the opportunity to learn in an open-minded, ethical and progressive environment, regardless of economic status, religion, class, race or gender. Every school needs a guiding principle for its students, in the same way that every child needs a loving parent. At Ananda Marga Kinder-Prep this principle is based on the philosophy of Neo-Humanisim, put simply Neo-Humanisim is the extension of the love we naturally feel toward other human beings to include animals, plants and all other forms of existence throughout each and every school day we work to develop the highest qualities of humanity namely concern for others, compassionate love for all creation, spirit of service, thirst for knowledge and awareness/acceptance of diversity. We believe that Neo-Humanistic education is most effective when it begins at a very young age in primary and pre-school years because this is the time when the child develops his/her indelible impressions of the world.
“Discipline is First, Discipline is Second and Discipline is Last” And “Service to Humanity is Service to God”. Read more......Read less
