The Jamaica Automobile Association (JAA) is the country's premier motoring body. We are a wellknown and reputable organisation that promotes and protects life and property. The company was
founded in 1924 to promote motoring and motor racing on the island.
Membership was initially open exclusively to business owners who had imported cars into Jamaica.
However, after several years, membership opportunities were offered to all motorists, and the
company's name was changed to the Automobile Association of Jamaica.
The company became a member of FIA (Federation Internationale de lâ Automobile) in 1976. In
2002, it adopted its current name and structure. In 2005, the former Jamaica National Building
Society acquired the JAA, and a new company was established, the Jamaica Automobile Association
(Services) Limited.
Today, we offer several services, including motor vehicle fitness and registration, driving academy,
towing, JAA Advance, and concierge services. For more information on what we do, please visit our
website.
