Jamaica Premix Concrete Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Ledgehill International, Inc., a Florida company was started in 1959 to supply the Jamaican construction industry with the highest quality ready mixed concrete and aggregates. In September 2001, Jamaica Premix Concrete Ltd acquired the assets of Redimix Concrete Limited (RCL), making it the dominant supplier in the Jamaican construction industry. With the acquisition of RCL, Jamaica Premix Concrete Ltd is the largest purchaser of bulk cement from the island's only producer, Caribbean Cement Company.

JPM's products and services are utilized in construction projects diverse in size and nature, including residential, commercial and industrial buildings, hotels, bauxite and alumina plants. The five fixed concrete plants are strat egically located across the island, from Kingston in the east to Negril in the west, for customer convenience. Caribbean Cream was started in November of 2005 by its current CEO, Christopher Clarke, who grew up in the Ice Cream industry. Christopher is the son of Carol Clarke-Webster, the Managing Director and the founder of Scoops Unlimited the manufacturers of Devon House I Scream.

Caribbean Cream distributes its products by selling its wholesale to retailers who then sell it to the end consumers. The retailers in our case tend to be other business owners with Scoop Shops or mobile vendors also known as “fudgies” or “creamies”. These retailers will buy the bulk 3 Gallon tub and sell individual Scoops to the consumers.

Excelsior Community College is a venerable college that never gets old in its continued commitment to excellence. Using its unique position as a Methodist college located in t he Caribbean, Excelsior Community College is dedicated to the betterment of lives throughout the area.

Excelsior began in 1931 and was not only the first community college in Jamaica, but the largest as well. It was founded by Dr. Hon Aston Wesley Powell in the company of five students in January of that year. In 40 years, it grew to over 2,000 students and in 1950, the Methodist church entered into the development of the school. After 40 years, the community college introduced a formal launch and shortly thereafter commenced with an adult education program.
