The Montego Bay Metro (MBM) Company Ltd is located at Bogue Industrial Estate, Montego Bay in the parish of St. James on approximately two (2) acres of land.
The MBM started in 1997 as a private entity dedicated to the transportation of students with 10 Catosa Benz buses. By demand in 2000 a municipal service was introduced. Initially the entity provided transportation from Montego Bay to Greenwood, Sandy Bay and Cambridge. However, over the years the demand for the service has grown and the entity presently provides transportation on five (5) routes within the Western Region. They are Montego Bay to Cambridge, Falmouth, Goodwill, Mackfield and Sandy Bay. The MBM provides transportation for students to: Cambridge High, Ruseas High, William Knibb Memorial High, Knockcalva Technical High, Anchovy High and Spot Valley High and other students who travel within Western Jamaica.
Charter services for island wide travel at competitive rates are also provided by the Montego Bay Metro. The seating options on the MBM fleet ranges from 46 to 52 on our yellow Daf or Volvo buses.
Our aim is satisfy our valuable commuters needs. Therefore, we have established a MBM Commuter Helpdesk: (876) 821-9708 where our commuters can ask questions, send us videos and or pictures of their experience on our buses, commend or report our staff, as well as make suggestions.
