On January 11, 2001, a licence was granted by the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission to Supreme Ventures Limited, to promote and conduct three specific lottery games und er strict rules and regulations established by the Commission. The licence granted by the Commission was valid for 10 years. The Company has since received an extension of its licence to the year 2033.

The Company began operations on June 25, 2001 with two out of the three lottery games that it was licensed to offer. The games were "Cash Pot" and "Lucky5". The third game, Dollaz!, was launched on January 20, 2003. During its relatively short tenure, Supreme Ventures has earned the enviable reputation of being one of the leading and more dynamic companies in Jamaica with its well recognised brand icon being the treasure chest. SVL acquired 100% of the shareholdings in the Jamaica Lottery Company (JLC) in December 2003, thus gaining a larger foothold in the gaming industry with lottery sales for the financial year 2013 exceeding $29.56 Billion.

The company has grown significantly since the acquisition of JLC and now boasts annual revenue in excess of $41 Billion dollars. With a labour force of approximately 220 persons directly employed to the Supreme Ventures Group and over 1150 lottery terminals islandwide, with a total of ten online lottery games, the popularity of our products has increased as everything is now all "under one roof". The local games are Cash Pot, Lucky5, Dollaz!, Lotto, Pick 3, Pick 2, Pick 4, Top Draw (introduced on 25th June 2014), Money Time (introduced on 12th October 2014) and WinQuick, the scratch and win type game.

Supreme Ventures has been introducing the Super Lotto game on August 25, 2009. Super Lotto is a multi-jurisdictional jackpot game, which is the first game of its kind in the Caribbean and Latin America. Super Lotto is sold simultaneously in Jamaica, Barbados, St. Kitts & Nevis, Anguilla, Antigua, St. Maarten, the US Virgin Islands and Pa raguay (which started in April 2014). Super Lotto is similar to Powerball, Euro millions or Mega millions, in which sales of different countries or jurisdictions are combined to facilitate jackpot prizes that have never been seen before in these territories. The game has prize draws twice weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) at 8:30 p.m. The starting Jackpot is the equivalent of US$1.5M. Factories Corporation of Jamaica Ltd. was incorporated in 1987 to implement the Government’s Emergency Factory Building Programme. Under this programme approximately 92,903 sq. m. (1 million sq. ft.) of Factory space was built. With the phasing out of the Jamaica Industrial Development Corporation (JIDC) in 1989 it was decided that FCJ’s role should be expanded to include the management of the properties that were under the JIDC’s control.

When the company commenced operation in 1988, approximately 75% of its tenants were engaged in the Garment Industry. Following the downturn in garment manufacturing towards the end of the 1990’s, a significant number of tenants began pursuing other manufacturing and commercial activities.

With the prospects that the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Industry now holds, the organization embarked on an expansion of space in recent years, to serve the growing area of information technology. FCJ owns approximately 174,953 sq. m. (1,879, 917.37 sq. ft). of rentable space of which 13,199 sq. m. (142,021 sq. ft.) is earmarked for use in the ICT Industry, however the expansion of additional space for use in this industry is under way.

Locations

FCJ has forty-six industrial sites at various strategic locations in eleven (11) parishes throughout the island. The main locations are in Kingston, St. James, St. Catherine and St. Thomas.

Factories Corporation Jamaica is the government agency that has primary responsibility for the development and management of industrial and commercial space in the public sector. The Company is in the business of leasing and managing industrial, commercial and office spaces to investors.

Our Mission

“To satisfy customer needs and enhance national development by providing quality industrial and commercial space profitably.”
