TOTAL RECYCLING is a partnership owned and operated company that has been in operation since 2009, and exports under the international trading company, Solinol & Allenco. Sinc
e then, TOTAL RECYCLE has expanded its operations from a recyclable plastic exporter to a key player in both the domestic & commercial recycling sectors across Jamaica.
TOTAL RECYCLING was created to provide recycling collection services to businesses and households across the length and breadth of Jamaica. Our primary business is to source, transport and process, plastics and cardboard among a host of other materials, in accordance with National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) standards, that is collected from clients across Jamaica.
The recyclable materials accepted for paper include: office paper, file folders, cardboard, newspaper, magazines, catalogues, telephone books, etc. Accepted as recyclable materials, plastic includes PET
like beverage bottles, medicine jars, liquid cleaner bott les, and detergent bottles, etc. High-Density Polyethylene or HDPE such as containers for milk, water jugs, shampoos and conditioners, fabric softener, motor oil, and anti-freeze etc., are welcomed. Low-Density Polyethylene or LDPE in the form of plastic cling wrap, plastic grocery bags, bread bags, trash bags etc., are also collected. A comprehensive list of materials that we accept to recycle can be found on our website.
We are continually impressed by the overwhelming positive reception the concept of recycling efforts has received. We estimate that we assist in diverting up to 2400 tonnes of garbage per year from the Riverton landfill and approximately 1200 tonnes from the other combined landfills outside of Kingston. This is definitely a significant contribution to the care and protection of the environment as this effort plays its part in reducing the frequency of landfill fires and other related occurrences.
TOTAL RECYCLING's affiliations include the broad bases of the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica, National Solid Waste Management Authority, Jamaica Environment Trust, National Environment and Planning Agency, Forestry Department, Ministry of Health, Scientific Research Council and civic groups like Hear the Children Cry. As your needs change, we will be happy to help you evaluate those needs and offer you the services that will help you achieve your new goals. Read more......Read less
