S.A.M.S was established in March 1987 by three former army officers with the aim of offering a professional, comprehensiv e security management service. The simple fact of the matter was that the principle of a man, with a gun and a dog, being security was not absolute.
The company was founded on the premise that security must be appropriately treated as a management function which, like all other aspects of management, directly affects the long-term financial viability of every business.

We are a solutions driven company, and we wholeheartedly believe that all security problems that are presented to us can, and will be solved.
Suffice it to say, our reputation has grown to the extent that our very presence in a company can, and freq uently does, act as a deterrent to potential wrongdoers.

Security Administrators Limited is the security provider at Kingston Wharves and Port Bustamante, and provides Specialist Anti-Narcotic Security on vessels in Kingston and Montego Bay. The Company has been the leading provider of maritime security and related services in Jamaica for almost two decades and our performance has resulted in a proud record of achievement that has made us an integral part of the Shipping Industry in Jamaica and the region.
The Company's outstanding performance in the area of antinarcotic security has resulted in approximately 85% of all drug finds at Port Bustamante being made by SAL personnel, an achievement that has been recognised by several clients and the United States Customs who have utilised some of our training programmes and equipment.
In 2004, SAL was appointed a Recognised Security Organisation by the Contracting Government in Jamaica (The Port Authority of Jamaica) and is authorised to conduct Port Facility Security Assessments (PFSAs) and prepare Port Facility Security Plans (PFSPs), in keeping with the requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
In 2006, SAL became the regional distributor of VideoRay Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) machines. A contract was signed between Security Administrators Limited (SAL) Chairman, Grantley Stephenson and VideoRay President Scott Bentley, which allows SAL to undertake sales of ROVs in the Caribbean.
In February 2008 SAL has expanded its services to offer Industrial Security Services and since has been providing industrial security guards on the port of Kingston. This decision was made because of our experience and expertise and because the customers have wished it.
We have also signed a joint agreement with the Caribbean Maritime Institute (CMI) to conduct an Advanced Port Facility Security Officers Course and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Security Administration & Management. Read more......Read less
