Commonwealth Youth Games
The 6th instalment of the Commonwealth Youth Games will be held in Nassau, The Bahamas. The games are scheduled to be held on Wednesday 19th to Sunday 23rd July, 2017.
Up to 1,300 athletes aged 14-18 from 68 countries will compete. The 2017 events to be contested include:
- Soccer Beach
- Rugby Sevens
The games will be held at multiple purpose sports facility the Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre will be the venue primary venue for eight of the sporting competitions. Cycling will take place on the roads of New Providence.

The Commonwealth Youth Games
The first Commonwealth Youth Games was held in 2000 in Edinburgh, Scotland. All competitors in the Games will be a minimum of age 14 and maximum of 18 in the year of competition. The competitors can participate if their 18th birthday is during the calendar year in which the Games are held.
The Games are on a quadrennial cycle, so that future events will take place in 2021, 2025 and so on.
