Earth Hour 2017
Earth Hour will be observed on Saturday 25th March 2017, 8:30-9:30 pm. This is a global movement to raise awareness for climate change and environmental impact. Earth Hour started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007, since then it has grown to engage more than 172 countries and territories worldwide.
The premise is simple and the action easy, for one hour, turn off all non-essential lights. Earth Hour is organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
Outside of participating in the hour long lights out, individuals and communities have launched events and activities to celebrate and promote Earth Hour.
