It’s 38 years of independence and this year’s celebrations will be done in style, Everything Vincy style!  To commemorate independence this year, the inaugral Everything Vincy Independence Festival will be held from Saturday 21st to Saturday 29th, October and is earmarked as the centre of all the 2017 independence festivities.

The premier festival will highlight Vincentian food, culture, music and enterprise.  Various agencies, public and private, have united to make this event one that will boost tourism on the island.  The goal is to ‘build a bigger tourism product’.

As in the past, motor sports will continue to be a huge part of the week’s events as it has always been a tremendous affair drawing many visitors.  Those attending the festivities will have an opportunity to enjoy a week of exciting, high-powered racing events. Go ahead; let’s hear you rev those cars and motorbike engines!

The festival will also include a training workshop and a three day Everything Vincy Expo.  The latter, InvestSVG noted, will showcase local businesses and provide much valued information and training in:

  • Customer Service
  • Marketing and Branding
  • Effective Labelling and Packaging
  • Social Media Management

Other activities which locals and tourists alike can look forward to are performances by local indie-musical bands and a national colours and social media Hashtag day.

Get ready to paint the town! Let’s paint it yellow, green and blue!

Happy Independence SVG!
