International Day of Families 2017
May 15th is International Day of Families. The 2017 theme is ‘Families, education and wellbeing.’ This year’s focus is on the role of families and family-oriented policies in promoting education and overall well-being family members.
International Days of Family 2017 and Early Childhood Education
In 2017, the United Nations will highlight the importance of all caregivers in families, parents, grandparents or siblings and the importance of parental education for the welfare of children. Special attention will be placed on how primary caregivers are the first educators.
In families we learn how to speak, adopt views of the world, and how to socialise and interact. Early childhood spans the period of 3 to 8 years of age. During this period the caregivers are the most important educators and shape the well-being and life direction of children.
