Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Festival
Blue Mountain Coffee is renowned as one of the finest coffee in the world. And this March, Blue Mountain Coffee gets its own festival.
The first staging of the Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Festival is set to take place 23-25 March on the grounds of the Jamaica Defence Force training camp at Newcastle.
Up in the cool mountains there will be a multitude of coffee-related demonstrations and workshops, food, culture and fun.
The first day of the festival sees business development workshops for coffee farmers,
And on Saturday 24 March all coffee enthusiasts will find something to keep their senses fully entertained. There will be the Festival Marketplace featuring food, arts, crafts, fashion, culture and coffee of course.
There will also be tours, live music and prizes. Local coffee farmers will be on hand to provide interesting stories about their occupation.
On Sunday, festival-goers can also participate in the Jamaica Blue Mountain Culinary Trail featuring various restaurants and heritage sites. Other entertainment will include the arts and crafts showcase and live performances by some of Jamaica’s best upcoming acts.
The coffee festival is expected to bring together local and international coffee connoisseurs, coffee suppliers and foodies.
Admission is $1000 for adults and $500 for children and includes a shuttle from UTECH to Newcastle.
