Mangrove Clean up
Calling all paddle boarders! If you have a passion for our planet and want to have fun doing your part this Earth Day, then come out to help clean up the mangroves.
Hosted by Plastic Free Cayman and organised by the Chamber of Commerce, this event encourages persons to bring their own board or kayak out to the Red Sail Dock on Turnberry Drive, Safe Haven, to sail out to the mangroves. As part of Earth Day initiatives taking place on Saturday, 21st April, this active and eco-friendly event invites everyone to come out and take part in this internationally recognised day.
Paddlers are also advised to bring water in reusable bottles and to remember sun safety (hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen). It is also recommended not to join in unless you are a proficient swimmer or equipped with a lifejacket.
Everyone who signs up is entered to win a prize from Red Sail Sports. Those who want to help, but don’t fancy getting wet, are asked to come at 10am and help out on land.
Paddlers should meet at the Red Sail Dock at 8am on Saturday 21st April.
This event is also sponsored by Bob FM, Radio Cayman, AL Thompsons, Junk and Liquid Life.
