My Grenada Style: Aria Francis

Aria Francis Style pic

Grenadian beauty Aria Francis is making waves on the Caribbean and International fashion scene. Her striking good looks have entranced top fashion designers – she’s walked at New York Fashion Week and appeared in Vogue twice. She also rocked the runway at a ‘Yeezy’ by Kanye West fashion show, held at Madison Square Garden in New York. For this edition of My Grenada Style we are taking a look inside this gorgeous model’s wardrobe.

Where do you shop in Grenada?

I live in the parish of St George, so I mostly visit the stores around that area. There are many stores in the town where I shop, the one that stands out is Las Chicas.

What are your classic ‘must have’ items of clothing in your closet?

I have many, but my favourites are camisole vest tops that I wear underneath my shirts.

Is there a particular style of clothing or jewellery that you favour?

I am very open to trying new trends that look good on me. There are clothing brands that I really like wearing, such as Forever21, H&M, and Hollister. I love mixing and matching. As for jewellery, I like to keep it very simple and my style of jewellery would depend on the outfit and the occasion.

What is your fashion obsession?

I am obsessed with cosmetic products, it is fun for me and they are things that enhance my natural beauty.

If I looked in your closet now, what would I see?

You will definitely see lots of tank vests, I love wearing them underneath my shirts. I feel very comfortable with them on.

How would you describe your work attire?

Work attire for me should be neat, colour and length appropriate. The clothing should represent the person wearing it with class.

How would you describe your evening/heading out with the girls’ attire?

I love dressing up, so it would definitely be something classic and compatible with my physique.

Do you prefer wearing flats or heels?

It depends on the occasion, but I mostly wear flats.

What is your favourite lipstick? (colour and brand)

The thing with lipstick is that there always a new brand or colour on the market so I don’t have a favourite as I am always trying new colours. On a regular day I would wear a plum red lip liner from Nicka K cosmetics with my lip balm.

What perfume do you wear?

I wear different types of perfume, but my most cherished would have to be Chanel.

Where do you get your hair styled?

In Grenada, I get my hair styled at Salon Success or at Touch of Elegance Hair Care Salon located in St George’s.

Which celebrity’s style do you most admire?

What style tips did your mother pass onto you?

A woman is not what she wears but what she knows.
