my-sknde-syl-hamilton

As a tour operator with Lime Tours, Mr GQ 2016–2017 De-Syl Hamilton makes sure that tourists visiting the beautiful St Kitts and Nevis federation get to the see best the islands have to offer.

But how does De-Syl see the island? What is his view of St Kitts and Nevis?

We’re diving into De-Syl’s SKN.

Describe St. Kitts and Nevis in three words.

Energetic, warm, natural.

What is your favourite time of year?

Christmas.

If you had to pick a local dish to eat every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Cook-up.

Describe your typical day.

As a tour operator, my day is usually filled with hustle and bustle, making sure that guests to our islands have the very best experience possible. It can be quite draining but the smile on the faces of each satisfied customer makes it worth it at the end of a long day.

What game did you play most as a child?

Pokémon.

Where on the islands do you go to relax and hang out with friends and family?

Whenever I am in St Kitts I usually hang out at the Strip on Frigate Bay and in Nevis, I like visiting Lime Beach Bar on Pinney’s beach.

Where do you shop?

I don’t have a specific store but I love finding cool stuff in all the different stores on the islands.

What is your favourite music?

R&B and pop. Adele is a legend.

Where is your favourite restaurant?

Mango’s at the Four Seasons.

Where would you recommend as a ‘must go’ to a first time visitor to St. Kitts and Nevis?

Brimstone Hill in St. Kitts and the Bath Springs in Nevis.

Brimstone Hill Fortress St Kitts.

Brimstone Hill Fortress St Kitts.

What major developments would you like to see happen in the St. Kitts and Nevis in the next 20 years?

I would love to see a major mall development and healthcare developments in the Federation.

Tell me something you’d change about SKN.

I’d change the number of elections that are held in Nevis. Everything should be decided at a Federal level, we are one nation after all.

What’s your favourite local proverb?

Don’t trouble trouble, unless trouble, trouble you.

The best kind of mango on SKN.

Amory Polly mangoes.
