Describe St. Lucia in three words.

Lush tropical paradise.

What is your favourite St. Lucian traditional dish, and why?

I love our national dish of green figs and saltfish. This dish brings back many fond childhood memories.

What is your favourite childhood memory?

Family gatherings were the best coming from a large family who could cook extremely well, and loved to entertain.

Where did you attend high school?

I’m a true ‘compre girl’ and attended the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School over a decade ago.

What was your favourite subject in high school?

I loved reading and enjoyed English Literature which gave me a thirst for writing.

What is your favourite restaurant?

I don’t have one particular favourite restaurant but I love Italian and Indian cuisine.

 What is your favourite music?

Soca will always be my favourite. I just love that Caribbean beat.

What is your favourite time of the year?

Definitely the end of year, I enjoy the anticipation of something new in the coming year. This period is so exciting.

What major developments would you like to see happen in St. Lucia in the next 20 years?

In the next 20 years, I would like to see a modernised city of Castries with an enhanced network of roads through the country.

Where would you recommend as a ‘must go’ to a first time visitor to St. Lucia?

First time visitors must visit the majestic Pitons, the Sulphur Springs, the Diamond Falls and Pigeon Island National Landmark monument. The best of St. Lucia to see by land, sea and air.

Considering a staycation, where in St. Lucia is your favourite place to unwind and recharge?

I’d probably stay in a private villa in the south to unplug completely, a villa with no WiFi and relax and rejuvenate.
