The home is serviced by two reputable Medical Practitioners. Mrs. Andria Johnson is the registered nurse on call
a qualified registered mental nurse as well as a general trained nurse.

The word Achazia in the Hebrew language means 'The Lord Holds', this name was selected to reflect to all who entered its environs that this was indeed true, and henceforth could be identified with.
Achazia Senior Citizens Home was established out of the owners' need to make a greater contribution towards the careof the elderly. The home, which is situated at Lot 2 Rowans Land, Airy Hill, St. George was opened on October 30th 2003 and caters to 16 residents.
The facility was expanded in August 2008 and Achazia Retirement Home was established. This home caters to 12 residents and is set in the beautiful and lush green landscape of Cliff Meadows, St. John.
Achazia Senior Citizens Home and Achazia Retirement Home are registered and licensed by the Ministry of Health. The staff comprises of caregivers trained and qualified in care giving and registered with the General Nursing Council of Barbados.
Our aim at Achazia Senior Citizens Home is to give wholistic care in an environment that is conducive to wellness and free of bias or prejudice. Our determination is to meet the needs of all elderly clients entrusted to our care with dignity and respect.
Our goal is to assist the elderly in moving from a state of total dependence to that of reaching a level of independence within their scope. This is done through physical, emotional, social and spiritual interventions geared at meeting individual needs.
William and Andria Johnson are the directors of Achazia. Mrs. Johnson is a registered nurse with 20 years in nursing practice, 13 of those years were spent in geriatric nursing. Her passion is leading her team of committed caregivers into providing care par excellence and seeing the results of that care resulting in restoration of health to the sick.
