The Connell Clinics comprise two separate specialty practices Digestive Healthcare, Inc. Cancer Specialists, Inc. Digestive Healthcare, Inc. headed by Dr. Kwame Vikram Connell specializes in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the gastrointestinal (GI) system with a special emphasis on Colorectal Cancer screening. The Clinic also houses a state-of-the-art endoscopy facility.
Dr. Kwame Vikram Connell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University in Washington DC and went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine. Dr. Kwame Connell is a highly trained gastroenterologist. He has a special interest in colon cancer screening and has always been a strong advocate of patient education as it relates colon cancer awareness and indeed all matters related to the digestive system.
Dr. Suzanne Connell specializes in the treatment cancer and is the head of the Cancer Specialists Inc at the Connell Clinics. Dr. Connell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and is Board Certified in both Radiation Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and believes in the holistic approach the patient care. She is a Consultant Oncologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and has active collaborative research projects on the genetics of breast cancer in Barbadian women.
The Connell Clinics also houses The Ambulatory Surgery Centre which is equipped with state of the Art Equipment. Same day surgery is performed in comfortable and relaxed surroundings where Physicians and staff work as a team to provide the highest quality care available. Same day surgeries include Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy.
