Are you ready for a weekend of fun and challenging races along scenic routes? Then, it’s time to register for the annual Run Barbados Weekend which is on this year from 6-8 December.
This adrenaline-filled weekend is popular with amateurs, local athletes as well as global competitors and features three races over three days from a mile to a half and full marathon.
The historic Garrison Savannah is the venue for the first event on Friday 6 December - a Fun Mile night race. Entertainment begins at 6pm with the race starting at 8pm. There will be food, music, giveaways, and prizes!
On Saturday 7 December at Barclays Park, St Andrew on the island’s picturesque east coast, participants will gather for the Sleeping Giant 5km race and the Casuarina 10km race. Entertainment starts from 2pm.
A warm-up session at 3.30pm will prepare the runners and walkers before the 10km race begins at 4.10pm and the 5km at 4.15pm. Everyone is invited to the after-party in the park.
On Sunday 8 December, the Sand Dunes Half Marathon and Farley Hill Full Marathon will get going in Barclays Park at 5.30am.
Every Run Barbados participant receives a branded T-shirt and a uniquely designed ‘Finisher’ medal. Music and entertainment will keep everyone motivated along the route and at the start/finish lines. Shuttle transportation is available from Holetown, Bridgetown, and Oistins.

Run Barbados has been a popular yearly fixture on the Barbados calendar of events since 1983. Competitors from all over the world come to the island to take part in the weekend of races including professional athletes.
