The West Indies (WI) Men’s Team will play England at Lord’s on Wednesday 10 July as the teams resume their battle for the Richards-Botham Trophy.
WI are the current holders after winning the Test series held in the Caribbean in 2021.
The 2024 series will feature three Tests starting on 10 July, 18 July and 26 July. The second and third games will be played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham and Edgbaston, Birmingham respectively. England bowler Jimmy Anderson will play his final Test at Lord’s.
Ahead of the first Test, the West Indies were invited to Buckingham Palace to meet King Charles. The team were joined by High Commissioners from across the Caribbean.
During the visit, His Majesty spoke about the impact of Hurricane Beryl which affected several islands in the Caribbean at the start of July. According to Buckingham Palace, the King shared his “concerns and condolences” for the people of the region.
