The Child Development Foundation (CDF) is a social justice non-profit organisation that provides services in church and non-church settings. The organisation was officially registered in 2008, resulting from community advocacy work done by our founder, Ms Diana Shaw, to advance the welfare of women and children in Belize since 2000.
Ms Shaw is an attorney-at-law and legal consultant by profession. She has used her abilities to support protecting women and children in governmental, judicial, religious, and non-religious settings to support legal and policy reforms, research, preaching, teaching, training, and skillsbuilding initiatives.

The CDF's general services include social interventions for child abuse, domestic violence, social assaults, and human trafficking. We offer counselling, advocacy, training, migrant services, rehabilitation for human trafficking, youth interventions, and research.
Services specific to church settings include training for pastors and leaders, women's conferences, girls' outreach, and speaking engagements.
At the CDF, we emphasise public education, advocacy, rehabilitation, and recovery services to survivors and their families. We also provide capacity-building support to stakeholders and partners.
