Belize City has undergone rapid development and expansion that is creating opportunities in our social and economic sectors every day.

Our sanitation department is responsible for the cleaning of loose garbage (including hotspots), culvert cleaning and digging out, derelict vehicles, supervising the cutting/cleaning, and weeding of lots (abandoned or empty). The department also manages landfills and monitors the schedule that is sent to us from Belize Maintenance Limited and Belize Waste Control, among other duties.
