Founded in September 2003, Galen University was established as Belize's first independent
university, offering degree programs in Accounting, Anthropology, Business Administration,
Computer Science, Economics, Environment Science, Entrepreneurship, Criminal Justice, Social
Science and Marketing.
20 years later, Galen University now has three faculties and offers a total of 21 programs. Degree
programs are offered in a variety of modalities, which includes face to face classes, live online and
hybrid to suit student needs.
As an independent university chartered by the Government of Belize, Galen is recognized
internationally for its educational excellence and for being a Belizean university with a global reach.
