Abdala Bedran, the eldest of the Bedran Brothers, opened Running W Meats under the guidance and support of his father, the late Escandar Bedran Sr. - a prominent businessman in San Ignacio and a leader in Belizean development. Abdala was joined a few years later by his younger brother Escandar Bedran Jr.
Both brothers are current Managing Directors of Running W with several of their children working in the company to ensure succession in the family business.
