Every October, Bonaire offers a thrilling event not for the faint of heart. Bonaire’s Annual Duo Xtreme Bike Race is one of the biggest local cycling events. This year, competitors will gather on 20 October 2024. The race is a massive draw for anyone into extreme sports who longs to test their endurance and strength.
Designed with professional athletes in mind, the mountain bike competition comprises two distinct routes that offer distinct levels of difficulty. The participating pairs may choose between the elite or fun distance. The former is a 70km course that will require stamina and training. The ‘fun’ course will cover 55km of picturesque but rigorous terrain.
The annual MTB race features various categories for competing duos, such as men (the pair's combined ages cannot exceed 100), women, and mixed (man and woman). Juniors under the age of 18 are also welcome to compete. The master's category is another interesting grouping, as it invites pairs whose combined ages are 100+.
