The 12th Annual Anegada Lobster Festival Is Here

Among the many Caribbean food festivals that occur throughout the year, one of the most highly anticipated is the Anegada Lobster Festival in the British Virgin Islands.

An annual event on the BVI’s second-largest island, the lobster extravaganza evolved from the BVI Food Fest. Now in its 12^th year, the grand fair will run from 29 November to 1 December 2024.

Anegada’s lively atmosphere results from locals and visitors engaging in an exciting scavenger hunt involving participating restaurants and their delicious crustacean creations. Over the three days, participants visit various dives to sample tasty dishes featuring the spiny lobster.

Moreover, for those new to the British Virgin Islands, the lobster festival is a wonderful opportunity to explore Anegada and the rest of the territory. During the scavenger hunt, travel enthusiasts can experience the BVI’s sites and scenery, as well as culture and cuisine. It’s one of the reasons it continues to grow in popularity. It’s always a culinary delight!

In previous years, menus at participating restaurants boasted items like curry, jerk, and stewed lobster, along with lobster bites, and lobster-inspired fritters and quesadillas. Novelty treats such as vanilla and lobster-flavoured ice cream also amazed diners.

Since participating chefs have continually raised the bar with their creative offerings over the last 11 editions, we can only imagine what will be presented for the Anegada Lobster Festival 2024!
