Having lived in the Caymans before, I was in charge of the "excursion" for 9 of us to enjoy Grand Cayman on our cruise stop. Going with a private hire, Majestic gave us Damion as our tour guide. We were treated like royalty, and he listened to our basic wants and laid out a plan to visit some great spots within our allotted shore time. Since we hadnt pre-booked a tour at Tortuga rum they had no room for us. Damion got on the phone right then and arranged a tour with another distillery (and the rum was tons-times better than Tortuga's!) I wanted to eat at the Cracked Conch but they werent open for lunch this time of year. Damion had gotten recommendations for another place to eat, Myrtles, and we went there. OMG food, Cayman dishes, including turtle burgers, were the best. At every rum stop Damion made sure we all got samples, and he drove us to cool, not crowded, points of interests for photo ops. We bought him lunch to dine with us, and he got us back to downtown well in time to do some shopping before returning to the ship. This tour was the best out of all our Carnival-ship paid excursions and I HIGHLY recommend calling Majestic for a more personal touch away from the cattle group tours. They know ship times, and you can be assured they'll get you back when you need to be.
