Cayman Islands Breast Cancer ‘Walk for the Cure’ On Sunday 6 October 2024

Don your pink, and lace up your walking shoes, for the annual CIBC ‘Walk for the Cure’ on Sunday 6 October 2024.

This year’s event will be held under the theme ‘Caribbean Strong: Walking for Resilience.’ The 5km charity walk will be held at Public Beach. Grouping starts at 6am and the walk will begin at 6.30am.

To register visit your nearest CIBC branch.

Registration is CI $25 for adults and CI $10 for children under 10. The deadline is Friday 27 September at 3pm.  

The Walk for the Cure account is also open for donations. All proceeds go to the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.

Background

The Walk for the Cure event, launched in 2011 across the region in markets where CIBC operates, raises funds for the benefit of cancer organisations in the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean.

CIBC states: “The funds generated from the walk, which is held in partnership with cancer care organisations in each territory, are life changing. The funds are used primarily to assist with the purchase and maintenance of equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.”
