Over the last 165 years, we have worn various hats. We have provided hope in the British financial crisis of the mid-19th century and offered the people of Trinidad and Tobago life insurance benefits during the crisis. We have also consolidated and localised the Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados portfolios with Jamaica's and the Dutch Caribbean.
We have extended continuous service throughout the region, providing our customers peace of mind and letting them know we're here to help. According to former Group CEO Jeffrey Mack, "People ask me why we're rebranding. The answer to that, I think, really lies in understanding what the core value proposition of insurance is, and really, it's quite simple. The core value proposition of insurance is that we deliver financial peace of mind."
Our customers want to know that in times of stress in their lives, whether it's the loss of a loved one or a piece of property, they are assisted with the resulting financial consequences. Our success is based on our ability to deliver a better value proposition than our competitors. We do so by providing superior customer service at all our touch points, and we do that in a very efficient and caring way.
In October, the name of Trans-Nemwil Insurance (Grenada) Ltd was changed to Guardian General Insurance (OECS) Ltd. This change resulted in a rebranding and adoption of the vision and alignment with Guardian Group. As a Group, we strive to operate as one integrated financial service organisation that has a shared vision, a shared corporate culture and image. This image is of a large, strong, reliable, and caring organisation that delivers on that financial peace of mind.
