The Centre for Local Business Development assists Guyanese companies to better understand and access increasing opportunities in the oil and gas sector and related industries by improving their overall competitiveness.
Our mission is to build the competitiveness and capacity of local Guyanese businesses in all economic sectors to promote inclusive economic growth in Guyana. We do this through training, capacity-building, and networking. We work with the private sector, governments, and communities to help build local capacity in the area they serve, primarily in the business community.
Our programmes include QHSSE Training, HSSE Management System Mentorship, ISO Mentorship, API Spec QI Mentorship and Accelerate-Her. We also facilitate several courses such as Business Development & Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Management Course.
Managed by DAI Global, we are funded under the Greater Guyana Initiative by the Stabroek Block coventures - ExxonMobil, Hess and CNOOC. DAI Global is a developmental organisation focusing on shaping a more liveable world.
