Established in 1994 under the Public Corporations Act (1994), the Guyana Office for Investment (GOInvest) is a semi-autonomous body. We serve under the direct purview of the Ministry of Business. We boast two divisions, one responsible for Investment Facilitation and Promotion and the other for Export Promotion. With these divisions, GO-Invest offers a full complement of services to local and foreign investors and exporters.
For over 20 years, we have served as primary contact for investors and liaised with government agencies throughout the investment process. Our dedicated team provide investors with a comprehensive summary of steps necessary to commence business operations in Guyana and, continue to offer assistance throughout the process.
Additionally, we supply investors with information on available incentives, as well as the regulations relevant to the sectors of interest. Expertly utilising our wealth of experience and knowledge, we develop profiles on viable investment opportunities in Guyana.
Also, one of our core services is export promotion. To this end, we provide current and potential exporters with trade information for the successful exploitation of overseas markets. And, our team works with exporters to promote their products through participation in national and international exhibitions and trade missions.
We also work closely with exporting organisations to ensure we address, expeditiously, at problems affecting exporters.
