The Jamaica Association of Local Government Officers (JALGO) represents several categories of workers in local and central government, statutory bodies, and quasi-government agencies in Jamaica.
Established in 1940, the Association is a 5,000-member public sector trade union in Jamaica. Some of the people we represent include firefighters, officers, and sub-officers, and civilian staff of the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
The Association also represents employees in the pre-supervisory and supervisory units of the National Water Commission, workers in the island's hospitals and health service, schools, and parish councils. For additional information, give us a call.
