The National Housing Trust is an organisation set up by the Government of Jamaica. We lend money at low-interest rates to contributors who wish to build, buy or repair/improve their houses, or who want to purchase or build on lots.
We also develop housing schemes for sale to contributors and provide low-cost financing to private developers. Our vision is to be a role model among the world's leading financial institutions, delivering affordable housing solutions in a service culture, with professional staff serving customers with integrity and excellence.
Our mission is to be effective stewards, caring for our contributors as we deliver housing solutions, build communities, provide contributions, offer refunds and influence the market to make housing more affordable.
We have set for ourselves some strategic priorities which include more houses for less and sustainable business viability through performance and relevance. Our team also work to optimise operations and service delivery through efficient customer service. And we are committed to building performance-oriented teams in terms of process, technology and attitude.
We pride ourselves on operating on core values such as professionalism, accountability, caring, integrity, excellence, innovation and teamwork.
