Hydel Preparatory School started operating on September 9, 1992 with an educational model with an emphasis on academic excellence. Students are educated to develop the total child i.e. physically, mentally, emotionally, intellectually, socially, morally and spiritually.
Students will have a well-balanced experience at Hydel which uses teaching styles that are innovative, creative and dynamic. Hydel has been educating the nation's children for 29 years and has achieved many successes in the academic, cultural and sporting arenas. We are committed to a balanced and individualized approach to learning and maintain low student teacher ratios.
Hydel Prep School is focused on providing an excellent academic program and holistic development of all students. Our academic program covers Kindergarten to Grade Six along with a Special Education class. Our program covers the Ministry of Education curriculum and also includes extracurricular activities such as chess, reading club, 4H club, builders club, environmental club.
Our extracurricular activities include swimming, drama, cadet, brownies, Red Cross, Reading Club, cricket, basketball, netball, track and Field so that students can choose an activity that they enjoy.
