The Access to Information Unit is a government office that is staffed by a core team of vibrant professionals who are charged with carrying out the Unit's mandate under the Access to Information Act.

The Unit is headed by a director who is an Attorney-at-law and who oversees the strategic direction of the Unit. Additionally, the Director provides guidance to public authorities in interpreting the law and puts mechanisms in place to ensure compliance with the ATI Legislation.
The Director reports to the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister. A Public Education team drives the communication and training programme of the Unit. The Unit's work is supported by administrative personnel and ancillary staff, including an administrator responsible for providing secretariat services to the ATI Appeal Tribunal.
