Founded in 1948, Citrad Limited is regarded as the ultimate source for fluorescent lighting products and energy-saving compact lamps.
With over 70 years of experience in the lighting industry and knowledge of the Jamaican market and the Caribbean, we have combined our experience with architects, lighting specification engineers and designers to arrive at highly energy-efficient and functional products to meet the needs of the various markets. This effort is evident in our wide range of fluorescent lighting products.
We are one of the pioneers of energy-efficient lighting products in Jamaica. Commencing with a small and modest factory, Citrad manufactures fluorescent and LED lighting products and customised metalwork for local and export markets.
With energy efficiency and saving in mind, Citrad introduced the fluorescent compact lamps into the market, and with due diligence and perseverance, Jamaicans took to the idea. Our use of Computer Aided Designs (CAD) drawings, and computer-controlled machinery in designing and manufacturing, provide a confidence that our products will meet and surpass the markets expectations and standards.
Many years later, Citrad's team of in-house engineers utilise all the parameters (colour, finish, size, lamp, and lens) to ensure the desired effect and efficiency is achieved. Citrad's long history and stability in Jamaica have allowed long-lasting relationships with architects, consultants, and engineers with whom we consult when launching new products.
