EduCom Co-operative Credit Union was formed on April 1, 2015 following the merger of AAMM and the UWI (Mona) & Community Credit Unions, we subsequently acquired St. Catherine Credit Union in 2017. With the merger, EduCom has been able to offer a number of financial solutions to our valued members, as we seek to build on the legacy of the three credit unions.
The Mission of EduCom Co-operative Credit Union is to improve the quality of life of its members and their families, through the provision of personalized financial solutions and advice
delivered by a motivated, competent and committed team of Staff and Volunteers.
We have a wide range of competitive products and services with very attractive rates
they include short to long term savings and investment products such as the Wealth Creator, Educator Plus, Pardna Plan, Mega Advantage along with a diversified suite of competitive loan options.
Nonetheless, membership with a credit union offers a certain level of uniqueness which separates us from other financial institutions. The ethos of the Credit Union movement is centered on people over profit, here are some of the distinct advantages of becoming a member today:
· Credit Unions are not profit driven but rather each year the surplus is distributed as decided upon by its members at the Annual General Meeting and paid out as dividends.
· Credit Unions are member owned therefore each member owns a share of the Credit Union and thus actively participates in its governance.
· Credit Unions are member-oriented which results in our strong belief and presence in our respective communities as we give back to those most vulnerable.
