The Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA) is the Private Sector organization representing Jamaican hotels, other visitor accommodations, and most suppliers of goods and services to the tourism industry. Our mission is to represent the interests of our members and foster their economic and professional growth while contributing to community development and the sustainability of Jamaica's tourism industry.
The Association promotes the interests of its members and the tourism industry, with the government and its agencies, other elements of the private sector, and international organizations. The Association has representation on the Boards of Directors of the Jamaica Tourist Board, the Tourism Product Development Company, and the Tourism Enhancement Fund, thus providing a strong voice for its members in developing and marketing Jamaica's tourism.
It is also a member of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ), ensuring a leading role for the private sector's tourism
interests in the policies and programmes of that body. Internationally, the JHTA's affiliation with the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association helps our members to obtain vital market exposure and intelligence.
The JHTA supports its members by providing various services, including advocacy, marketing and promotion, public relations, networking, and market intelligence. We celebrate excellence in the industry by presenting annual awards to our members, employees, and other individuals and entities for contributing to Jamaica's tourism industry. The JHTA implements programmes and projects to promote sustainable development and best practices in environmental management and human resource development.
We also contribute to charitable, civic, and community causes that benefit Jamaica.
