Overview
Founded in 2003, the Jamaica Productivity Centre (JPC) is the national organisation tasked with facilitating the improvement of productivity in all spheres of the nation's economic and community life.
The Centre discharges its responsibilities through programmes that focus on research, providing information, training, facilitation, advisory services, productivity auditing and monitoring productivity. These programmes engage Jamaican productivity issues at all levels, from the teaching of productivity awareness to students through to sophisticated productivity improvement tools designed to boost the efficiency of private and public enterprises.
The JPC has a vital role to play in Jamaica's economy in the years ahead. The organisation's immediate responsibility is to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the Jamaican economy and lead the process of transformation to a productivity-conscious culture, thereby boosting the economy and creating jobs.
