Owned and operated by Dr Sharon East-Miles, Consultant Occupational Health Physician, OHDoc provides occupational health services to businesses and their employees. The aim is to ensure workers are fit for their jobs initially and periodically, protecting both employer and employee.
When workers develop health problems, through illness or injury, Dr East-Miles assists human resource professionals to better understand their work capability and how to achieve the best productivity during rehabilitation and beyond.
Dr East-Miles is a medical doctor trained at UWI, Mona and registered with the Medical Council of Jamaica. She holds postgraduate and specialist training in Occupational Health and Public Health from Tulane University, USA, and the Faculty of Occupational Medicine in London, UK.
Dr East-Miles has over 18 years of experience in occupational health, having worked with companies in Jamaica and the UK. She also has over 30 years of experience as a general practitioner. She is the Head of the Occupational Health Unit for healthcare workers at the University Hospital of the West Indies.
