Tropic Building Supplies is an export only supplier of building materials used in residential, commercial, and light industrial construction by Caribbean customers. We sell materials purchased from thousands of quality U.S. manufacturers and mills, which allows us to sell many times the variety of products, than even the largest "mega-mall" home centers at prices far less, due to reduced overhead and labor costs.
We load and pack flat racks and containers at our warehouse, and prepare, wrap, palletize, and deliver less than trailer-load shipments to the ocean freight line of your choice. We also offer consolidation of customer owned materials to accompany your shipment.
Most customers today, prefer to view and purchase products from the convenience of the their homes, rather than paying for air-flights to South Florida, the hassle of travel, and the expenses involved with hotel stays, and rental cars.
Our customers will most often prepare and e-mail, or fax, us lists of their building material needs. If the products require viewing, we will find out about your needs, and then either make suggestions, or direct you to the various manufacturers websites to select your items. We than return to you, a priced quote with individually priced items, for your approval.
Payment is typically done, by credit card, or by wire transfer. The vast majority of our building material items are stocked in our warehouse for prompt shipment, but certain manufactured items like windows and prehung doors, are built to order. Unusual, or non-stocked items are also shipped to our warehouse, to be combined with your order. Once the products have all arrived. our warehousemen will load, pack, and deliver the materials to the port, or ocean freight carrier, of your choice.
Our salesman have architectural degrees and decades of export building material experience, and so we are very familiar with selling quality building material items that will hold up to the harsh, wind, rain, sun, and salt corrosion conditions needed for Caribbean homes.
