From the endeared Penny Bank that opened its doors in January 1938 in a Mongiraud Street back store, we are now the new attractive edifice of the 1st National Bank St. Lucia Limited. Our beginning is rooted in the emergence of our people from the last shadows of slavery and the confusions of emancipation.
Today, we are located on Bridge Street and with branches spreading nationwide. Our once humble staff complement of three, we are now an employer of over 100 St. Lucians. And, from a $50,000 asset base, we have grown to a multi-million dollar corporate entity.
