In August 2011 CLL, specialists in LED lighting, commenced manufacturing commercial, industrial and residential LED lighting from our Barbados headquarters.
Considered to be one of the fastest-growing companies in the region, we manufacture and export currently to 16 countries. And, in 2013, we expanded our manufacturing facility, doubling our floor space. Additionally in 2013, an extraordinary year for us, we were awarded the Compete Caribbean Innovation Award for our off-grid renewable energy (RE) system called WinSun—we were the first Barbadian company to have won the award!
In 2014, we partnered with LED Roadway Lighting LTD (LRL),headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We now manufacture the NXT range of LED street lights and operate as the regional manufacturing partner for LRL. Also, we have distributors in Trinidad & Tobago, St. Vincent, Antigua, Guyana, St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, Turks & Caicos, Dominica and Jamaica, along with an office in St. Lucia.
In 2016, we won the tender to supply Grand Bahamas Light & Power with the award-winning NXT series LED street light. And, currently, we have two pilot projects running in Suriname and Guyana.
To date, we have supplied Barbados Light & Power (an EMERA Group company) with over 1600 NXT LED street lights. We have also provided our services to LUCELEC (St. Lucia), GRENLEC (Grenada), Nevis (NEVLEC) and VINLEC (St. Vincent).
