GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Limited is a subsidiary of the highly regarded Caribbean conglomerate GraceKennedy Financial Group. Based in St. Lucia, we provide general insurance products in the Eastern Caribbean.
In 2004, GraceKennedy and East Caribbean Financial Holding Company Limited (ECFH) of Saint Lucia partnered to establish EC Global Insurance Company Limited. At the time, GraceKennedy held a 30% shareholding. Over the years, EC Global established a firm footing in the St. Lucian insurance market, with a reputation characterised by innovative policies and service excellence.
GraceKennedy showed its commitment to the general insurance business and to the Eastern Caribbean by acquiring the majority interest in EC Global Insurance Company in September 2014. The Company was rebranded to GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Limited in early 2017. Today, we operate in St. Lucia, in St. Vincent & the Grenadines via our agency partner, Priority Insurance Limited, and in Antigua & Barbuda via another agency partner, Star Insurance Agency Ltd.
We are licensed in accordance with the Insurance Acts to write all classes of general insurance business. Our suite of solutions includes motor vehicle insurance, property insurance, commercial insurance, personal accident insurance, pecuniary loss insurance, and marine, aviation and transport insurance.
