Spartan Health Sciences University, School of Medicine, has over 35 years of experience in medical education. We are equipped with a highly qualified and dedicated faculty, and our students receive student-to-student academic assistance.
Our students access a four-year (40 calendar months) academic program leading to the Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.), which is taught on a trimester (four months) schedule. The trimester period commences in January, May, and September. We invite students to enter during any one of the three trimesters.
Our comprehensive Doctor of Medicine degree program curriculum encompasses basic Sciences, Preclinical, bridging curriculum, and clinical sciences for four academic years. The curriculum is continuously reviewed by the Deans of Basic and Clinical Sciences in conjunction with the faculty, consultants, and board of trustees to provide the best possible medical education to our student body.
The five trimesters of the Basic Science programme are an integrated presentation of basic medical sciences. It includes Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Behavioural Sciences, Pharmacology, and Pathology, while our pre-clinical didactics comprise a general introduction to Medicine and Physical Diagnosis. Also, our students receive didactic lectures in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Surgery.
A bridging curriculum is introduced to integrate basic sciences into clinical sciences. The clinical science program consists of four trimesters and is committed to broad exposure in the major clinical disciplines of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Psychiatry.
