Financial Investment and Consultancy Services Limited (FICS) was incorporated in November 1991 and opened its doors to the public on February 24, 1992.
FICS is a diversified finance company that emphasizes the provision of credit and financial services to individuals and corporations. FICS is a non-bank financial entity that is legally authorized to accept deposits from the public. FICS operations are governed by the Banking Act of 2015, the Regulations and Guidelines of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), as well as the ECCB Agreement 1983 and the Companies Act of 1996.
FICS was established by Mr George Theophilus and his wife, Mrs Lusca Theophilus, in 1992 with an initial equity of $140,000. FICS has grown considerably and now has an asset base of $211m. FICS comprises two branches: the main headquarters is located on Bridge Street, Castries and the Branch is situated at the Providence Commercial Centre, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
The company offers a variety of loan facilities to the St Lucian public including the Jumbo Mortgage Finance, debt consolidation loans, personal loans, repairs and renovation loans, professional loans, equity finance facilities, hospitalization loans with Tapion Hospital. In addition to these facilities, FICS offers superior investment instruments such as the Supplementary Pension Programme (approved by the Inland Revenue Department), Education and Housing Investment Programme, Fixed Deposits, Special Deposits, the FICS Growth Fund, Senior Citizens Investment Programme and Senior Citizens Monthly Interest Investment Programme.
