Dr Sherian Slater is a practicing obstetrician / gynaecologist (OBGYN) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Central Medical Clinic, Paul's Avenue, Kingstown.
Dr Slater is the past Head of the OBGYN department at Milton Cato Memorial Hospital(MCMH) in SVG,where she worked for over 25 years.
Dr Slater has worn many hats during her professional career including Acting Chief Medical Officer of Health SVG, Acting Medical Director MCMH and Vice Chair/ Chair Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (West Indies Section).
Dr Slater is a clinical lecturer at Trinity School of Medicine SVG, and past clinical tutor at All Saints Medical School SVG, St George's School of Medicine SVG and the American University School of Medicine SVG.
She has also collaborated with PAHO on numerous occasions throughout the years to advance and improve women's and perinatal health outcomes in SVG and throughout the Caribbean.
Dr. Slater recently welcomed her daughter Dr. Sherina Slater to the practice. Dr. Sherina Slater completed her doctorate in OBGYN at the UHWI-Mona, 2022.
Both Drs. Slater are passionate about women's health care.
